Bold Predictions for 2023
The truths that we learn about mankind in the Bible remain true today. If the Lord allows the world to continue, I can, without any doubt, make predictions of what will occur in the year 2023, both good and bad.
Bad things that will happen in 2023
- People will think nothing of committing fornication. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Gal. 5:19).
- Married people will think nothing of being unfaithful to their spouse. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Gal. 5:19).
- People will find enjoyment in things society has accepted, like gambling, drinking, smoking, and watching immoral TV shows and movies. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Gal. 5:21).
- Married couples will divorce, thinking it is the best path to happiness. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Rom. 7:1-3; I Cor. 7:12-13).
- People will think nothing of taking God’s name in vain, using it to entertain and amuse. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Eph. 4:29-30).
- Many babies will be aborted by people who do not consider them to be alive yet. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Rom. 1:29).
- People will waste time visiting with those who gossip and enjoy doing so. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (II Cor. 12:20).
- People will fill their lives with so many activities that they have little to no time for God. They think it is acceptable; God says otherwise (Matt. 6:33; Lk. 9:57-62).
- People will do many good things for their fellow man, thinking those actions will be enough to take away their sins. God says otherwise (Eph. 2:8-9; II Thes. 1:8).
- A vast majority of those who die will die thinking that all will be well for them in the life hereafter. God says otherwise (Matt. 7:21-23).
Good things that will happen this year
- The gospel will be preached, and people will have the opportunity to hear the gospel (Matt. 28:19-20).
- God’s word will endure, and anyone wanting to find the truth will find it (Matt. 7:7).
- People will escape the bondage of sin and be saved by the blood of Christ (Rom. 1:16; 10:14-17).
- Courageous children of God will strive to avoid being conformed to this world (Rom. 12:1-2).
- Brothers and sisters in Christ will be there for one another as they strive together for heaven (Gal. 6:2).
- God will be worshiped properly by those that love and revere Him (Acts 2:40-47).
- Christians will let their light shine and do what they can to reach people with the gospel (Matt. 5:13-16; Rom. 1:16).
- Saints will take advantage of opportunities to increase in faith and become stronger (Eph. 6:10).
- Local churches of Christ will take a stand to be a pillar and ground of truth (I Tim. 3:15).
- Christ will not relinquish His reign as the head of the church (Col. 1:18; Matt. 28:18).
